RED GAMES Co. is a Salt Lake City-based independent game studio focused on creating multi-generational, family-friendly games and experiences in partnership with the world’s leading toy and entertainment companies, including LEGO, Hasbro, and Crayola.

We are looking for a Lead 3D Character & Environment Artist to join our team. This role will work collaboratively with a cross disciplinary team to concept, design, and build games for mobile and other platforms. We are looking for a hands-on and self-motivated candidate with strong 3D capabilities and an interest in learning, growing, and contributing in a collaborative environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Translate creative concepts into compelling environment designs and models using modeling, texturing, rendering environments, compositing, and lighting
• Participate in creative ideation, strategy and brainstorming
• Collaborate with and inspire other artists to produce the highest polish product
• Create clean game topology, UV’s and textures and implement 3D assets into game engine
• Maintain consistently high standards for accuracy, aesthetics, and collaboration
• Work closely with producers to understand production plan, timing and deliverables

Requirements:

• Stellar portfolio demonstrating design and 3D modeling; portfolio demonstrating concept art
• Experience designing 3D characters and environments in a fast-paced gaming environment
• Demonstrated experience in technical art production and end-to-end modeling, UV unwrapping, texturing, and rendering workflows
• Well versed in 2D and 3D software including Maya, Substance Painter, ZBrush, Photoshop, and any other relevant software; familiarity with Unity a plus
• Desire to learn, grow, and contribute in a creative, collaborative environment
• Ability to work autonomously and adapt quickly
• Capable of articulating and presenting creative ideas
• Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Red Games Co. does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time
